Towards Sustainability: Quality Standard Certification (CLA)

ICHEC Brussels Management School, in partnership with Forum Ethibel and the University of Antwerp, is the verifier for the quality label for sustainable financial products, developed by Febelfin.

Context

With the sharp increase in sustainable funds and concerns about greenwashing, labels have appeared as one solution to improve market transparency and address agency issues.

Needs addressed

Their widespread adoption requires a better understanding of their effectiveness.

Expected results

Our results indicate that obtaining a non-profit sustainability label has a positive marginal effect on fund flows, but only for funds that do not have a commercial rating.
